Boxing

Boxing is a combat sport in which two participants, usually wearing protective gloves, engage in a contest of strength, speed, reflexes, and strategy by throwing punches at each other while trying to avoid being hit. The objective is to score points by landing punches on the opponent, or to achieve a knockout, which occurs when one fighter is unable to continue the match due to being incapacitated by the blows. Boxing is typically conducted in a squared ring, and matches are divided into rounds, with each round lasting a specified time. Competitors are classified by weight categories to ensure fair competition. The sport has a rich history and is governed by a set of rules that dictate permissible actions, scoring methods, and safety precautions. Boxing has evolved into both a professional sport and an amateur activity, inclusive of various styles and disciplines.
