Carabao Cup

The Carabao Cup, officially known as the EFL Cup, is an annual knockout football competition in England. It is contested by the 92 clubs that make up the Premier League and the English Football League (EFL). The tournament is named after its sponsorship by Carabao, a Thai energy drink company. Established in 1960, the Carabao Cup provides an opportunity for clubs to compete for silverware outside of the league format, with matches played in a single-elimination format leading to a final at a neutral venue. The winner of the Carabao Cup earns a place in the UEFA Europa Conference League, providing an additional incentive for participating clubs.
