Іслам

Іслам (Islam) is a monotheistic Abrahamic religion that originated in the 7th century CE in the Arabian Peninsula. Followers of Islam, known as Muslims, believe in the teachings of the Prophet Muhammad, who is considered the last prophet in a long line that includes figures like Abraham, Moses, and Jesus. The core belief of Islam is the oneness of God (Allah in Arabic) and the submission to His will, which is expressed through the Five Pillars of Islam: the declaration of faith (Shahada), prayer (Salah), almsgiving (Zakat), fasting during Ramadan (Sawm), and pilgrimage to Mecca (Hajj). The religious text of Islam is the Qur’an, which Muslims believe to be the literal word of God as revealed to Muhammad. Islam emphasizes ethical conduct, community welfare, and the importance of individual faith and devotion.
